Pisgah Elementary PTO
Greetings Pisgah Elementary Families!
It is with great enthusiasm that we extend a warm welcome to all new and returning families of PES.
The mission of the Parent Teacher Organization is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and staff of Pisgah Elementary. We strive to enhance and maximize the education of all students while aiding them in achieving their highest potential. We are about families and staff working together toward a common goal, which is to create a better school and a better educational experience for our children. We aim to create an atmosphere where both teachers and administration can do their best work, and so can our children. To ensure success, we need the help of our PES families.
The key to a successful PTO is the involvement of the entire school community. It is important to note that you automatically become a member of the PTO when your child attends Pisgah Elementary. We welcome and seek your active involvement. At our meetings you will learn about ideas and events that are on the horizon and have the opportunity to share your thoughts with the team. You will also discover opportunities to volunteer your time and talents for various projects and events hosted by the PTO. New suggestions and ideas are always welcome.
In order to meet our goal of creating a better educational experience for our students, the organization actively fundraises through various ongoing, and event specific programs and activities. Some examples include Fall Festival, Santa’s Secret Shop, Bingo Night, and enrichment programs including field trips, in-school events, classroom supplies, literacy support, supplies and equipment for staff, and many, many more. Our goals can only be met through the ACTIVE participation of PES families. We need YOU. Volunteering does not have to mean a huge time commitment. There are tasks that can be completed in the evenings, during the school day, and some that do not involve coming to school at all. Please remember to go to the Volunteer Tracker on our website and sign up to volunteer. You must do this, and be approved, to be able to volunteer at our school.
Ultimately, the PTO is instrumental in the success of Pisgah Elementary by promoting the school in our community, and financially helping toward its future. We have a full year planned of exciting enrichment and fundraising activities! Be sure to follow the school’s Facebook page and be on the lookout for flyers and newsletters to stay informed of the happenings at our school. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
The PTO is looking forward to a wonderful school year at Pisgah Elementary! We appreciate your support and look forward to working with all of you this year.
Sincerely,
PTO
