Free YMCA Horizon Afterschool Program
Focus
Enrich and empower middle school youth through club activities, study hall, tutoring, social/emotional learning activities, and community classes. Horizon is funded through community and federal grants, making it 100% FREE to families.
Creating Brighter Futures
Horizon provides a safe environment for middle school students outside of the traditional academic day. The Horizon program is designed to engage students in enrichment experiences and improve academic achievement while building leadership skills and confidence by empowering youth.
Horizon partners with many community organizations to provide fun and engaging activities, such as healthy living, cooking, art, music, sports, and STEAM activities.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday
2:45-3:30: Check-in and Free Time
3:30-4:30: Snack and Tutoring/Homework Help
4:30-5:30: Clubs and Activities
5:30-6:30: Structured Free Time and Student Pick-up
Enrollment Forms are available in your school office, or they can be downloaded here:
Please complete all four pages of the enrollment for and submit to your school office. You will be notified when your application is received.
