Class Expectations & Procedures

  • Each day, I will post the learning targets and daily agenda and overview in the "Stream." Recording of lessons will also be posted in the "Stream" (as needed -- some lessons will not have videos).

  • Each week, I will have an overview of assignments posted in the "Classwork" tab in Google Classroom. It will be titled "Overview of Dates."

  • Materials and assignments will be posted in "Classwork." Some assignments will be turned in through Google Classroom. You will submit documents, screen shots, website links, etc. Other assignments will be turned in physically in class. I will clearly mark how you will turn in each assignment.

YMCA Core Values: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Caring ...

  • Honor one voice: Take turns to comment during lessons.
  •  Make respectful comments.
  • Have respectful facial expressions. Use your reactions to show your understanding.
  •  Always THINK before posting. (Is it True, is it Helpful, is it Inspiring, is it Necessary is it Kind?)
  • Always persevere and try your best.

  • Come to class prepared each day.
  • Follow the CCMS student dress code during Zooms.
  •  Complete your own work and turn in assignments on time.
  • Take PRIDE in completing your best work.

  • It is the students' responsibility to determine what work needs to be made up.  The "While You Were Out" folder and Google Classroom will have assignments and directions.

  • If a student is absent on the day an assignment is due, it must be turned in immediately upon returning to school.

  • Students are expected to be ready to start working as soon as the bell rings. Students who aren’t in their assigned seats will be marked tardy. 3 tardies result in a minor referral. Each tardy after will result in a minor referral and ISS lunch.

  • Assignments and due dates for the week will be posted both in Google Classroom and the physical classroom. On Monday, you will have an "overview" of what we'll be doing throughout the week.
  • Major assignments (tests and projects) will be posted at least 2 weeks before the due dates.
  • Assignments are due at the beginning of class on the due date.
  • Late work will lose 15 points each day late. If projects aren't completed within a week past the due date, a minor referral may be given.
  • Grades will be posted frequently in PowerSchool. That's the best place to see if assignments are missing and grades.
