After completing my undergraduate degree at UNC-Chapel Hill, I began teaching in Henderson County.  After 12 years there, I joined the staff at Cane Creek as an eighth grade social studies teacher.  I am thrilled to continue at CCMS as an EC teacher.  I still live in Henderson County with my two dogs.
I have a master's degree in training and development from NC State and a master's degree in special education from ECU.  I also have a PhD in Special Education Leadership from University of the Cumberlands.  I am National Board Certified (2007);I am highly qualified in NC to teach social studies (6-12), math (6-9), language arts (6-9), science (6-9), and special education (K-12).
