Watts, Jessica - 6th ELA

I am thrilled to be in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and to work with young adults as they prepare for their lives outside of the classroom. I grew up in a small town in Michigan and graduated in 2004 from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in English and Public Relations. After college, I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer on the island nation of Saint Lucia where I assisted those with special needs in various capacities and worked on engaging youth in community development. When I returned to the states, I earned my Teaching Certificate from Edison College in Florida. I have primarily taught Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies in Sarasota, Florida and Western North Carolina. This is my twelfth year of teaching and my second year at CCMS.  When I am not at school, you can find me traveling, curled up in a hammock reading or playing outside with my husband, daughter, and two dogs.

The best way to reach me is at jessicawatts@bcsemail.org.

I am looking forward to a great year at CCMS!
