Sandman, Steve - Counselor
Steve Sandman
School Counselor       Sandman
I have had the joy of being at Cane Creek Middle School since it was opened in 2000. I have served as the 8 th grade counselor for a majority of those years, spending time in some other areas as well.  Now,  I work primarily with all 8th grade and half the 6th grade students, teachers, and families and will coordinate the 8th grade transition to high school.
My focus is to help students be successful - academically, emotionally, and socially – both in school and in life. Students and families are faced with many challenges that may become obstacles to their success. I believe that we (families, students, the school system, and the community) must work together in order to assist our future generation to achieve success in today’s tough times.
Please feel free to contact me via phone 828.628.0824 or email if I can be of any assistance or if I can help you connect with someone or some organization that can assist you. I strongly desire for all of our students to have a successful, enjoyable, and beneficial educational experience.
