Our Annual Spring Celebration is Tuesday, May 15 at Camp Rockmont in Black Mtn.
We'll leave after school, head to Rockmont to swim, play, slide, Zip, and Blob.  We'll have a cookout dinner (hot dogs, veggies, chips, cookies, drinks) and return to CCMS by 7:00 pm.
Let Mr Sandman know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies.

  • Overview:
  • The Cane Creek Middle School Honor Society is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders, who demonstrate the character traits of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Citizenship, and Character.
  • In order to be eligible, a student must:

 - earn a 3.5 grade point average using their semester average grades.  This means they must have more A’s than B’s, or equal A’s and B’s on their report card with no grade lower than a B.  If a student falls below a 3.5 on a 9 Weeks Grading period, they will be placed on academic probation and must bring up those grades to remain eligible.

 - perform 12 hours of documented service. The service must be for the good of others, and can not be for a profit. Service hours must be completed outside of the regular academic school day.  Any service performed from June until hours are due at the end of January can count towards the required 12 hours.  A downloadable Service Hour Documentation form is available HERE.

 - demonstrate leadership, citizenship, and character either through a school-based club or organization, faith-based community, athletic team, a classroom, or their family.

Requires dues of $10 per year, paid to CCMS.  If finances are ever a problem, however, we will do everything we can to include every student eligible for membership.

There is no application or membership form to fill out - just complete a Service Hour Documentation Form.  Any student who turns in a service hour form will have his/her grades and discipline record checked.  If the academic and character requirements are met, that student will receive an acceptance letter along with a reminder to pay the $10 dues.  If you have any questions, please contact Steve Sandman.
